A 21st Century Noir
Essentially, its Phillip Marlowe meets Yellowstone. There’s also a lot of fun satire mixed into the story.
I’ve always wanted to adapt a classic noir story to the 21st century. In particular, a private detective yarn set in my home state of Colorado. Furthermore, I wanted to interject contemporary politics and social commentary into my tale.
One of my latest attempts at such a story is Crying Wolf. Crying Wolf is the story of private detective Napoleon Dominguez. His investigation of a missing person’s case leads to a violent conspiracy involving wolf reintroduction, small town politics, and class warfare in Colorado’s mountains. It ends with a showdown between Dominguez and a family of killer cowboys.
